Alumni donate $32,000 to the theater arts scholarships fund for students – Serving the Fullerton Community Since 1922

Fullerton College or university alumni collected for a gala in assistance of the scholarships offered for learners in theater arts. Exceeding the focused $10,000, alumni and buddies ended the evening donating a total of $17,555. With matching donations, the counting overall considering the fact that the Mar. 12 gala is about $32,000.

The event was put collectively by Bob Jenson, a retired Dean of the theater arts office. The purpose of the function was to raise funds for the present-day five theater scholarships delivered by the higher education.

The evening’s festivities, which finished with a general performance of Fullerton College’s “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.”

Heather Brown, and husband Matt, achieved as Fullerton College learners. Their son, Morgan, 7, joined them for the gala.

Reminiscing about previous professors, Heather Brown explained, “The teacher that seriously guided me to keep inside theater was Steve Pliska with lights. I usually stated, ‘I really do not want to do lights.’ But I took one of the lessons, and I took it as a lot as they would allow me. Semester following semester.”

There was a regular group at the donations table with alumni and buddies of the Fullerton community stood their support for the Theater Arts Section and its college students.
