Artwork and music lovers set out on a steamy Saturday final weekend to take a look at the nineteenth Artwork of Sound competition which included Arts on the Sq. and the primary ever Flea Fest.

The simultaneous festivals included a lineup of musical performances, artists displaying their works and a gathering of ukulele gamers taking part in workshops and a live performance with native music group, the Dancing Fleas.

“It went actually nice,” mentioned Violet Arth, advertising director for the Cleveland County Arts Council. “Flea Fest was an enormous hit. It was very effectively attended by ukulele fans from a number of states.”

The hours-long gatherings had been a results of a partnership with the Cleveland County Arts Council and Buffalo Creek Gallery in Uptown Shelby. 

As of Monday there was not an official quantity for the way many individuals attended, however Arth estimated that there have been 300 to 400 individuals on the occasion at any given time of the day.
