Iowan Jordan Young, once a rising star in mixed martial arts, dies at age 27

Jordan Youthful, a professional combined martial arts fighter originally from Urbandale, died this weekend at age 27.

A trigger of death was not declared, according to MMA publication MMA Junkie. Youthful was when a rising star in Bellator MMA, the second-largest MMA advertising in the U.S.

He was primarily based in Florida wherever he fought for American Best Crew MMA. The team was shocked by Young’s dying, according to a tweet Sunday.
