Blackbox Comics is celebrating its fifth anniversary with Ninja Kaidan, a new ongoing sequence featuring martial arts and some supernatural twists.

CBR has an exclusive preview of Ninja Kaidan, which comes from writer Eric Palicki, artist Lucas Meyer, colorist Michael Bartolo, letterer Dezi Sienty and Blackbox editor, publisher and creator Dimitrios Zaharakis. The new collection follows Yuki Snow, an unlikely ninja who mysteriously finds himself fighting from the supernatural. The synopsis reads, “Not even a lifetime of martial arts coaching and several years of navy provider can prepare Yuki for his most current, and potentially greatest, obstacle when he inherits Yokai Consolidated, his estranged father’s organization. Yuki promptly gets to be fascinated by his father’s pet undertaking, the miraculous Kaidan armor, which enables its wearer to see, hear and even contact ghosts! As he struggles to unravel the secret of the armor and its objective, Yuki finds himself experiencing foes, dwelling and lifeless, who will cease at nothing to acquire it for on their own.” Together with being about ninjas, ghosts and martial arts, Palicki explained Ninja Kaidan is a touching tale about “a son stepping out from under his father’s shadow.”
