The second efficiency of their forty fourth season, Brian Webb Dance Firm presents Radical System Artwork in MOI: Momentum of Isolation by Alberta-born choreographer, Shay Kuebler, December 16 & 17 on the Timms Centre for the Arts.
“The final time the BWDC introduced Shay Kuebler’s dance the viewers went completely wild.” says BWDC Inventive Director, Brian Webb. “His new ensemble’s dancing is riveting in each manner. It’s a nice journey.”
MOI: Momentum of Isolation bases its performances round social isolation and loneliness. The efficiency explores the target and subjective experiences by the person, the group and fashionable society – a society with shifting values and an ever-advancing digital lifestyle.
To form a digital world on stage, MOI locations interactive video and sound across the performers. These components improve concepts on how expertise influences our lives, and that it could actually each empower and disempower us.
Initially from Alberta, Shay Kubeler is greatest identified for his work with Radical System Artwork and The 605 Collective in Vancouver. He has labored as each a dancer and choreographer throughout Canada, the USA, and in Europe. His choreography credit embody The American Dance Competition, Nationwide Arts Centre, Les Grands Ballet Canadiens, Second Manufacturing unit, and Decidedly Jazz Danceworks.
