Kebort becomes second martial artist in CSHOF | News, Sports, Jobs



EDITOR’S Be aware: Below is the biography of Christina M. Kebort, 1 of 11 inductees in the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame’s Course of 2022.
Other inductees are George L. Barone Jr., Sarah M. (Bogardus) Burnett, Andrew J. Creager, Michael A. Sirianni, Lewis G. Mack, Marc T. Tramuta, Randall G. Anderson, Harry G. Carlson, Larry E. Rodgers and Richard P. Shearman.
These eleven persons will be formally inducted at the CSHOF’s 40th yearly Induction Banquet on Monday, Feb. 21 at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club.

Christina M. Kebort is the 2nd martial artist and the initial lady from that discipline to be inducted into the Chautauqua Sporting activities Corridor of Fame as a member of its Course of 2022.
Kebort was launched to the sport at the age of 5 by her uncle Invoice Kebort who started his martial arts occupation while serving in the U.S. Army for the duration of the Vietnam War period. She commenced competing at 6-yearsold.
Kebort attained her 1st Dan Black Belt in 1996 and turned a licensed karate teacher in 1998. Her 5th Dan Black Belt was accomplished in 2002 and her 8th Dan Senior Master Black Belt was awarded in 2014.
She credits the mentoring she acquired from Rick Johnson at Johnson’s Martial Arts Academy of Warren, PA and Daniel Genovese Kempo Karate for her good results. Also instrumental in her career was Bob Servis. She is grateful to all these who supported her via the yrs.
In 2001 she manufactured her presence identified at the national and entire world amounts when she received 3 prestigious titles. She gained the Black Belt Kata Earth Championship contested in Columbus, OH as nicely as the
Black Belt Kata and Sparring U.S. Open Championships held in Indiana and the Black Belt Self Defense Nationwide Championship at the Usa Nationals in Erie, PA.
The subsequent calendar year, Kebort won the Constant Sparring Grand Countrywide Championship in Rhode Island and turned a life span member of the Black Belt World Bureau.
2009 observed Christina capture the Master Black Belt Kata and Sparring World Championships in Ohio.
Kebort received again-to-back Learn Black Belt Kata and Sparring Championships in 2013 and 2014 creating her a seven-time entire world title winner.
She received the Who’s Who in the Martial Arts Elite Women’s Budo Warrior Award in 2018 and the Martial Arts College Women’s Warrior Hall of Honor Award in 2019.
In 2020, Kebort accomplished her eight and ninth environment titles when she won gold medals in each Master Black Belt Sparring and Kata at the 44th Fight of Columbus (OH).
2020 also brought a host of decorations for Kebort. She obtained the Arnold Legend of Martial Arts Corridor of Honor Master Instructor Determination Award and the American Martial Arts Alliance Who’s Who of Martial Arts Legends Award. She grew to become an inductee in the Common Martial Arts Corridor of Fame as the 2020 Female of the Yr, and she was showcased in the Universal Martial Arts Corridor of Fame Yearbook and the Martial Arts Masters and Pioneers E-book alongside with Chuck Norris.
Kebort, born in 1977, is a 1996 graduate of Jamestown Substantial Faculty. She is used as a paraprofessional at Enjoy School and is also on the staff members at the Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys and Girls Club of Jamestown in addition to her function as a qualified karate instructor with Kebort’s Karate Tigers at the Jamestown YMCA. She donated a kidney in 2018 in honor of her brother, Bill, who had died of kidney failure two several years before.
