  • Paul Hope Cabaret presents Glitter & Be Homosexual at Ovations | Monday, February 13 | Ongoing – Discover Leonard Bernstein’s Broadway on this night of music that includes favorites from On the City, West Facet Story, Candide and extra. $15 and up. Mondays at 7:30pm.
  • seventh Annual Jazz on Valentine’s Live performance with Raquel Cepeda at MATCH | Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14 – This celebration of life, love and the facility of music options jazz requirements and unique works, incorporating musical kinds from all over the world. $45 and up. 8pm.
  • Lyle Lovett And His Acoustic Group on the Grand 1894 Opera Home | Wednesday, February 15 & Thursday, February 16 – The long-lasting singer-songwriter performs dwell, bringing his signature, genre-fusing fashion to Galveston. $30 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Mekong: SOUL at Asia Society Texas Middle | Friday, February 17 & Saturday, February 18 – This multidisciplinary efficiency from Emmy Award–successful musician Vân-Ánh Vanessa Võ and composer Jonathan Berger tells three highly effective, multi-sensory tales about life on the Mekong River. Artists from Southeast Asia and Houston’s Apollo Chamber Gamers are featured. $29. 7pm.
  • ROCO presents Mates at Rice College’s Brockman Corridor for Opera | Saturday, February 18 – The chamber orchestra presents this live performance specializing in the theme of friendship, which incorporates the premiere of Upon Dawn, impressed by Maya Angelou’s poem “A Courageous and Startling Reality.” Pay-what-you-can; instructed value of $35. 5pm. 
  • DaCamera presents Fly the Coop at Passion Middle | Saturday, February 18 – Ruckus, a “shapeshifting” Baroque ensemble, is joined by flutist Emi Ferguson for a night of joyful Bach music. $37.50 and up. 7:30pm.

Ultimate Performances This Week

Three productions draw ultimate curtains this week; the all-female The Significance of Being Earnest ends their run at Spring Road Studios on Saturday, February 18; and on Sunday, February 19, The Lightning Thief at MATCH and Each Good Factor at A.D. Gamers’ the George Theater bow out.
